SMThe Senior Patient Care Coordinator greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner, as well as instructs, directs, and schedules patients and visitors. The receptionist receives cash payments from patients, issues receipts and posts cash payment data.
Clinic Hours: Open 7 days per week, 7:00AM - 7:00PM
Schedule: Supervisor will determine schedule within those hours, 7:00AM - 7:00PM, including weekends and holidays on call.
Location: 2845 Siena Heights, Henderson, NV
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to complaints and offering service recovery as needed.
- Check in patients, ensuring accurate demographic entry, primary care physician (PCP) capture, and eligibility.
- Collect copays, handle cash, enter charges, and maintain Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance.
- Handle and route incoming calls and messages. Schedule appointments as necessary.
- Manage reception area and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Manage referrals and prior authorizations.
- Prepare hospital transfer packets and facilitate associated phone calls.
- Maintain records and logs for business reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in creating and facilitating clinic schedule, participating in on-call program.
- Lead without authority and act as super user for clinical applications and subject matter expert for billing.
- Assist in interviewing and new employee onboarding and training.
- Help monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Assist in implementing new processes and programs.
- Ensure clinic is stocked with adequate supplies, ordering as necessary.
- Accountable for business compliance audits and building safety inspections.
- Ability to travel to other locations, as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of customer service experience with strong communication both in person and via phone
- 2+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work on call Saturday & Sunday from 7:00am - 7:00pm
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with electronic health records
- 1+ years of experience handling and triaging of telephone calls and a multi-system phone line
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $20.00 to $36.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
