Job Summary
Shift: Days 7am-3:30pm Mon, Tues, Thurs or Mon-Fri 5-6 HRS Per Day
Will be on Call 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month

Position Summary
Assists with patient care in a Surgery environment.
Responsibilities
1. Knowledge of basic surgical practices and techniques including asepsis. Able to perform procedures in a sterile
manner.
2. Demonstrates proficiency in scrubbing. Passes instruments, sponges, and sutures to surgeon and assistants as
needed, and places all tubing and cords so they are secure, and convenient for the surgeon.
3. Ability to assemble all equipment used during procedures.
4. Knowledgeable of the cleaning and sterilizing procedures of all surgical instruments. Able to perform cleaning and
sterilizing procedures on all instruments and equipment.

5. Demonstrates ability to communicate and work effectively with other members of the surgical team.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience:
• Post High School Vocational /Specialized training
• 1 year experience as a Scrub Tech preferred
• CST Preferred
